Booked my daughter in-law's car in for an MOT, first thing, Monday 11th January, she was met by a guy called Jason, the guy was very rude & clearly didn't want to be there & not the most helpful of people, unfortunately the car failed on something really simple, a tyre being on around the wrong way, having only just had this tyre replace pre MOT in an effort to ensure a pass, my daughter took the car back to the garage that fitted it to have the mistake rectified. Being a critical care worker, she asked before leaving the garage, if he car could be fitted back in, the same day for a re-test (after all it's just the trye that needs checking and would take a matter of 20-30 minutes before she could return it to Mr Clutch) she was told no, the earliest would be wednesday 13th January, and to call to book back in as soon as the problem was rectified. being young, she went away & then called asking to re-book as he told her too.. he then proceeded to tell her, he made a mistake and actually the car could not re-tested until Thursday 14th January. Being a critical care worker and having already taken time out of work on the Monday & booked time for wednesday, she was upset to be told she would have to wait another day, costing her more money as she is has had to rely on others to enable her to work in the meantime! Furthermore, when she was unable to take time off today for the re-test & called to explain she may be a few minutes late as she was with a very poorly patient, this same person proceeded to tell her, thats ok, if shes going to be late he'll cancel the MOT!! Queue her being very upset on the phone to mylef & my husband havng to run around like a headless chicken to get the car to the garage for a re-test, only to get there to find all the technicians twiddling their thumbs & no vehicles in the workshop! Met by an extremely grumpy, rude Jason again, my husband appologised for being a few minutes late, explaining the situation and asking as the garage appeared quiet he hoped the test could still go ahead... the keys were taken from him & words muttered about the paperwork & having to get that for himself.. my husband left for a short time whilst the re-test happened, when he returned he tried to make polite converstation but again, was met with a blank expression & a complete lack of manners & good customer service. When asking for payment of the re-test, virtually chucking the keys and certificate through to my husband who then left, only to be chased by a technician who had our receipt!
The long and the short of it is, if you want an MOT or any work done here, then sure book your car here, but if youre expecting a high level of customer service or even a polite smile its the wrong place for you... & if youre expecting help during a pamdemic when youre working on the front line keeping people safe & alive this is most definately not your man or your garage!!!!
